auctions at their facility. The second type is a one time event at the
seller’s location.
Pros:
- They do all the work including staging, promoting and
selling.
- They are professionals who know how to get that top
dollar using the auction process.
- Are familiar with the market.
- Have regular buyers who are looking specifically for
this type of articles.
- They have the equipment and staff to handle the sale.
- They do the paperwork and handle the financials.
- You get one check at the end.
Cons:
- Sellers and/or buyers pays a commission rate on sales
price. Some have a minimum fee along with commission rate.
- Money not readily available and could be delayed.
- Auction houses are selective at what they sell.
- Buyers could be in your house or on your property.
- You might clean up after the event.
