However, this is quit extensive and there are ecommerce options you can use for a price. Even the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing can feature your merchandise if you know how.

Pros:

  • Your market can be larger than the local area and go International.
  • Depending on the ecommerce site, you might have some tools to help you with the process.
  • Better chance of success in selling.
  • Some ecommerce sites feed the merchant centers on major search engines.

Cons:

  • You do all the work and research. Therefore, your time.
  • Could be in competition with other sellers.
  • Require knowing policies and limitations of an ecommerce sites.
  • You might have to purchase additional equipment and supplies such as digital camera, postage scale and shipping materials.
  • You are responsible for shipping.
  • Pay service fees and credit card fees.
