stores can be called different things such as thrift
stores, electronic shops, gift shops, Internet selling assistant and
antique stores. The idea here is the store keeps a percentage of the
sale price for overhead and services rendered. Do your homework because
some will take a higher percent than others.
Pros:
- They do all the work including staging, promoting and
selling.
- They are professionals at knowing the market.
- Have regular buyers who are looking specifically for
this type of articles.
- They have the equipment and staff to handle the sale.
- They do the paperwork and handle the financials.
- You get one check periodically.
Cons:
- Seller pays a commission rate on sales.
- Money not available until the end of the sales
period. In most cases it is a month.
- They have the right to reject any item for their
consideration.
- If an item is not sold it is either return to the
seller or donated to charity.
